Funny, the exact thing that got to me was some of the effects. I texted this to Chuck earlier. The main one for me was the claws in the bathroom as well. It took me out of the movie for a minute it was so bad. Looked like the kind of effect I would expect to see in a made for tv movie on the Sci-fi network about a giant mutated snake in Miami. His escape from the farm house on the motorcycle got to me as well. his digging the claws in the ground and spinning the bike arround looked stupid. Yes, the fire escape was brutal. I told Chuck I give the movie a B- at best, and those scenes really were the reason. I would give those three scenes an F+. Agreed, Reynolds was good, and not used nearly enough. It was good, I expected a little more though. I thought the movie was good, not great.
