Hey Doug, DVD isn't going away per se, it's just changing form. What Jason and I were discussing in the podcast was that I was reluctant to purchase anything on standard DVD since BluRay is the wave of the future. But until BluRay came down in price (for both the player and the discs) the question was "Should I wait?". Since I know I want a BluRay player and I want to start building my library the best solution for me now i to hold off on getting any standard DVD's. Then next year or so I'll get a BluRay player (or possibly a PS3 - since the cost factor is favorable) and then start building by library.

That being said, you have an enormous collection AND you watch them. So I wouldn't say you're wasting money since you're getting enjoyment out of the films. The BluRay step up is just one of the upgrades I'll be doing and since I'm still trying to catch up on my NetFlix queue, waiting works for me. So I say keep eating bologna and playing soccer!

Chuck, You mention that DVD's are "going away". could you expand on this for me a little. What is the new technology going to be, and should I stop purchasing DVDs ?
As I have mentioned to you, I have over a thousand of them, and for me to stop buying would be as difficult as bologna sandwich feet playing soccer. It has become a compulsion for me. Am I pissing away my hard earned cabbage ?

Thanks
