WWNPHD

I can’t wait to see this movie, I loved the first one for numerous reasons….

But NPH made it that much better. He’s also pretty funny in How I Met Your Mother.

Red-band trailer here.

DVD Tuesday…it’s a good one.

No Country for Old Men – According to the Academy this is the best picture of the year. I love the Coen Brothers (yes, in that way) so I’m really looking forward to picking this one up.

Hitman - Timothy the Elephant (sp?) plays Agent 47 in a movie based on a video game series. Not directed by Uwe Boll, so it actually has a chance of being something other than insta-crap™.

Bee Movie – Jerry Seinfield ! CGI from the makers of Shrek! It’s got Bees!  … wait.. what? Pass.

And it burns, burns, burns…

If you love your XBox 360 as much as I do, then you are probably no stranger to this wonderful image posted above.  Recently, an independent company that provides warranty support estimated that 16% of all XBox 360 consoles contract the “disease” of video game death.

I personally, have encountered this issue twice.  I also have witnessed the incident in a roommates machine………..TWICE.  Either I am extremely bad luck, or these numbers are grossly underestimated.  I have to commend Microsoft for stepping up to the plate and paying for the repairs in full, plus S&H, on both occassions, although it took them about 3 months to cede.

For those of you who still maintain a sense of humor regarding this issue, here is a youtube link to tickle your fancy.

I’ve given Microsoft several chances with this issue, and they’ve corrected the problem.  Let’s hope they correct the issue with the 360 and any hardware they create beyond.

Pardon our appearance…

The latest WordPress update didn’t play nice with our old theme (hacked together quickly , I admit). So, as we remodel the site and tweak some code, we’ve replaced our beloved smoke with a quick – content focused theme. Hang tight as we get our design on.

Thanks,

Why are you not watching this right now?

Already on its third episode, Download: The True Story of the Internet is a nostalgic look back at the beginning of the internet, the bubble, the trouble, and the legacy. Discovery Channel (check DSC’s listings) is airing this engaging miniseries, hosted by journalist John Heileman, and I, for one, am hooked. Having lived and worked through the dynamic time portrayed in this docu-journalistic offering I find myself glued to the set. I wanted (heck…want) to be these guys and it’s great to get such a quality pop culture-esque treatment.

Download: The True Story of the Internet is about a revolution — the technological, cultural, commercial and social revolution that has radically changed our lives.” (read more)

Oh yeah, that pretty much says it all. The first 2 eps are being re-aired throughout the month so go set your TiVos .

Finally an affordable MacBook Air.

macbook-air-golden-age_11560.jpg

So the folks over at bling-my-thing.com have outdone themselves this time and made a Macbook Air for the rest of us. Created using over 12,000 Swarovski crystals and 24k gold this baby is only about $40,000 dollars.

If you want the solid state drive with that the price goes up to about 4.3 million.

*Editor note: I’ve just been informed that $40,000 dollars is actually MORE than the base price for the Macbook Air. Who would have guessed?!
