Just read that Ernest Gary Gygax, the co-creator of D&D and the ‘father’ of the RPG passed away this morning. Hopefully his final days were spent with a flock of nubile 20yr old women and not in his mom’s basement. Seriously though.. pretty sucky. I wonder if this will mean that the latest revisions and rule set will be the last? I honestly don’t know what sort of involvement he’s had as of late.
Gygax had started TSR, which published D&D (and AD&D) among others. Wizards of the Coast is now the custodian of the game and is continuing to roll out new rules. Here’ some more info: http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/welcome
